During the 20th century, Estoril became a famous region for exiled kings and spies in the Second World War (WWII). These secret and underhand negotiations were played out in the grand Casino, still working nowadays where you can enjoy shows, restaurants and try your luck!
There are incredible beaches in Estoril and surrounding, the picturesque town of Cascais is a short drive away and the fantastic and mystical village of Sintra with its glorious palaces can easily be accessed from Estoril as well.

This house is so beautiful, clean, and spectacular! Ten of us stayed there for several days very comfortably. There are many gathering spaces, all beautifully decorated. Although the home is old and extremely charming, the amenities such as the kitchen and bathrooms are modern. Each bedroom was special and most had their own bathroom. The pool was great, and the views from the first and second floor terraces are lovely. (You can see the ocean!) Elizabeth, the house manager, was extremely responsive and helpful. Not only did she respond quickly to our questions about the house, but she also helped us with transportation connections. This is a house you must see and stay in to truly appreciate how special it is. We would love to go back again and again!
